Child Custody
Our family law attorneys in Pittsburgh handle cases in Western PA, including Beaver
County. We handle both types of divorce: fault and no fault. Our divorce lawyers also

interstate), dependency hearings, PFA (protection from abuse), support (spousal
support, alimony
pendente lite, child support), prenuptial agreements, cohabitation
agreements, and adoption. Get a Pittsburgh lawyer who will work with opposing counsel
to bring your divorce, claim for support, or child custody matter to an efficient and
reasonable resolution. We will reasonably handle your prenuptial agreement or the
dissolution of your marriage and we willl get agressive with a petition for contempt when
needed following an order for divorce, alimony, spousal support, or child custody than
necessary. Emotions will be running high during your family law issue, why prolong the
situation or make it more expensive than it needs to be? We suggest that you rely on an
experienced family law lawyer who has respesented a husband or a wife in prior cases
and can see the issue from all sides. Your Pittsburgh lawyer should look for an early
resolution of all calims for support (APL and spousal), child custody and other family law
and divorce matters when possible. We have offices in Allegheny County, serving Beaver

Plan for the Worst
You should be ready to prove to the judge or hearing officer
why you are entitled to a significant portion of the maritial
estate. You only get one chance to make a first impression
in the eyes of the judge. That judge may preside over every
matter in your case at the present time and into the future
if, for example, you need a child support modification or a
modification to a custody agreement/order. You need to
convince that judge that you are credible and that your
method to distribute or divide the marital estate is
appropriate.

Best Use of Counsel
Your attorneys will appreciate the difficulties you will face
when going through a divorce, especially when the parties
to thd divorce cannot agree over the division of asests.
Experienced attorneys can guide you through the process
and propose common sense solutions to complex problems.
Draw on the creativity and experience of a seasoned lawyer.

Good News
If you get ready for court, you will be pleasantly surprised if
all the issues in your case resolve through a settlement
agreement. We can also help draft (or interpret) your
cohabitation agreement, pre-marital agreement, prenuptial
agreements, postnuptial agreement, petitions for temporary
possession of property or use of home, equitable
distribution, hearings on equitable distribution, petitions for
sole possession, prenuptial agreements (drafting),
enforcement of prenuptial agreement, claim for engagement
ring, location of assets, cases where bigamy is alleged and
other complex issues of divorce exist.

Things to Consider
In trying to resolve your case, your lawyer will try to
negotiate the equitable distribution portion of the divorce as
amicably as possible and we often recommend mediation.
Our Pittsburgh attorneys constantly look for ways to
streamline a divorce whether the proceedings involve a
fault-based divorce and a no-fault divorce. Our lawyers
evaluate whether prenuptial agreements can be upheld. We
also evaluate issues of an engagement ring and whether and
engagement ring must be returned if the marriage never
takes place.
